Even from the earliest age Abercorn encourages trips outside of the school throughout the school year.

These trips are be designed to hone life skills, such as how to safely travel as a group when outside of the school buildings, and to enhance the curriculum. The added enthusiasm that a trip can bring to a topic is immeasurable as well as building new memories and experiences that will stay with our children.

In the early years trips focus on age appropriate experiences, including a trip to the Tate Modern gallery for Reception and weekly adventures at the Forest School. As pupils journey through the school the trips become increasingly more varied and include an overnight trip to Bushcraft Camp in Year 3, and Stratford-Upon-Avon in Year 6 to discover Shakespeare beyond the classroom. Throughout their time at Abercorn our pupils enjoy day visits to many of London's museums and galleries to bring their subjects to life. The penultimate trip for most pupils is the PGL residential trip in Years 4 and 5, with Year 6 heading to Normandy for a cross-curricular trip immersing the pupils in the French language and history at the Arromanches of the D-Day landings.

Pupils who continue through to Year 7 and 8 revel in a week long residential trip overseas to destinations such as New York, Barcelona and Iceland.

In line with the school’s aim of providing a high level of pastoral care, pupils are confident, articulate, mutually supportive, respectful, caring and happy.
