Inspiring sporting excellence
and teamwork
Sport
We recognise the importance of physical fitness in promoting a healthy mind. Central London offers a multitude of outstanding sports facilities close to the school. Children visit Regent’s Park, Swiss Cottage Sports Centre, and other local venues for a range of sports.
A National Coach and a qualified swimming teacher supervise the weekly swimming sessions.
Physical Education for the younger ages is devoted to improving coordination and sporting abilities. As well as gymnastics and dance, younger pupils are taught basic ball skills with a view to starting rounders, football and netball.
Pupils are taught football, netball, cricket, tennis, squash, hockey, personal fitness and athletics. Cricket is also encouraged after school at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Pupils learn to strike a balance between competitive instincts and the necessity of working together.
Regular fixtures against other schools are arranged and thoroughly enjoyed by all
members of the school community.
After school, there are opportunities to participate in Tae Kwon Do, Swimming, Golf and Tennis.
