Howard De Walden Christmas Card Competition

Art Prep

All the Portland Place pupils have had a busy and productive autumn term in the art department. They have produced two Christmas cards this term, one of the cards has been printed for use as a family Christmas card and the second card has been made specifically for the Howard De Walden Estate Christmas card competition! All the pupils have explored a range of skills whilst working on their Christmas cards including accurate pencil and pen line drawing, perspective, three dimensional drawing, tonal shading, blending and the use of mixed media. All the Year 8 pupils have had to make independent and collaborative decisions about the design of each of their cards. If you managed to see the exhibition at Marylebone High Street on Wednesday 18th November, then I think you will agree, all the cards looked wonderful!
