Year 5 Balanced Lunch Menu Winning Lunch
On Thursday 3rd December, students and staff alike, experienced the delights of Joe’s delectable and nutritionally balanced Asian inspired lunch. Joe’s menu was selected as the winner of the Year 5 balanced menu competition. They were treated to a starter of Chinese Vegetable Noodle Soup, followed by a main of Sweet and Sour Chicken served with egg fried rice and a Pineapple and Mango Eton Mess Cake. As an added bonus, our students got to test out their chopstick handling skills! All our students thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and there was much discussion around the lunch tables about the nutritional content of each meal. To make the day even more special, we were joined by Joe’s dad, Danny. A very big thank you to the catering staff who worked so hard to make the lunch possible.
