Doorstep Charity Challenge
On Saturday 30th July 2016 Abercorn pupils, brothers Will and Ben, kick started Abercorn's Charity Challenge by setting up shop near the famous Abbey Road crossing to raise money for Doorstep; our sponsored charity for the coming school year.
The boys sold homemade chocolate chip cookies (2 for 50p) and ice cold water at 75p a bottle to the public. Everything sold out in around one hour and they raised a total of £61! Many people said to keep the change.
The cookies were baked freshly that morning with the help of mum and the fundraising was planned over the week prior to the event. Will and Ben wore their red Abercorn shirts and explained what Doorstep is to those who donated and of course thanked everyone for their support.
A fantastic effort boys - well done!
