Swim Club visit Global to Make Some Noise
On Friday 21st April members of the Abercorn Swim Club visited the Make Some Noise Charity, which is located in the Global Radio station building in Leicester Square. Earlier in the year, the swimmers took part in a swimathon to raise money for the charity.
The group were entertained by the Make Some Noise representatives on the garden terrace of the building. They enjoyed a quiz to see just how much they knew about the Global radio stations, as well as their charity. The children met “Noisey”, the Make Some Noise mascot, and presented the representatives with the cheque for the total amount raised. Pupils were then taken on a tour of the building, and had to be very quiet at times, as some of the DJs were live on air. The children were very excited to run into some celebrities in the form of boyband The Vamps, and R&B singer Alexander O’Neal.
The total amount raised by the Abercorn Gators with their swimathon is £7259.18. That is an absolutely amazing effort! Very well done to all the swimmers, their parents, families and friends who supported them.
