STEM subjects at Abercorn include Design & Technology, Computing and Science. Through a combination of creative and scientific methodology, pupils are encouraged to problem solve, reason, create and learn across these core subjects.

Subjects are brought to life through cross-curricular projects, clubs and trips. This integrated approach to learning enables pupils to make connections and creatively problem solve.

At Abercorn School we aim to encourage our children to assimilate scientific knowledge and skills through active learning in and outside of the classroom.

Computing

Using multiple resources and platforms our pupils learn how to access, evaluate, process and communicate information. At Abercorn our teachers integrate information technologies into every aspect of school life and model the appropriate use of technology.

Design & Technology

Design Technology provides a real opportunity for cross-curricular work and our subject specialists work closely to foster collaboration and the development of ideas across our pupil’s art and science lessons in particular.
