The Tapestry Journal

Each child is individual and we ensure that we work with them as such, using online learning journals to share school experiences with parents and home experiences with teachers. Every child who joins Abercorn Early Years will have a learning journal which will continue with them throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage at Abercorn. The journal comprises of photographs, written observations and videos creating a holistic picture of the child, their learning and their interests. This enables teachers to plan and provide appropriate and meaningful learning for each child individually.
