Jon joined Abercorn in 2011.

Jon Desbruslais is an in-demand professional drummer and educator. While probably best known for his drumming with Show Band ‘Pandora’s Jukebox’ and the ‘Diamond Skyline Orchestra’, as well as his broad and extensive work on London’s music scene, Jon’s other playing credits include West End musicals ‘Aladdin’, ‘Hairspray’ and ‘Strictly Ballroom.’

Jon wanted to work with children as “children are fun to work with and I enjoy teaching them how to express themselves musically.” He believes that the fantastic music department at Abercorn helps students to flourish as musicians, which nurtures their confidence both on and off stage. All of these elements make Jon grateful to work at Abercorn.

In his spare time, Jon enjoys watching Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, playing chess and composing music

Qualifications: Bachelor of Music (Hons) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2010)
