Cathy is a class teacher and Head of Year 2 in Middle School.

Hailing from Ireland, and educated at Bangor University in Wales, Cathy has been part of the Abercorn family since Autumn 2000. Cathy has held a few teaching posts in her time at Abercorn including SENCO, Head of Year 1 and Head of Nursery to name a few! Cathy now enjoys leading Year 2 at Abercorn’s Lower School.

Cathy finds helping to enhance the children's learning, creativity and educational progress through fun activities and projects the most rewarding part of a teacher’s job. Cathy brings her lessons to life with good planning, resources and the will to make it fun and meaningful. “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn”!

Qualifications: Bachelor in Education, QTS, Emergency First Aid at Work (incl. Paediatric Element)
