Fahid Khan

Head of Maths

Fahid joined Abercorn in 2023.

After qualifying to teach Maths, Fahid worked in London schools, both state as well as independent schools as teacher of Maths teaching the British curriculum. As well as this, he has also taught abroad in the Middle East in an International school teaching the American Maths curriculum. Fahid has lots of experience in the post of Head of Maths, as he has previously spent 9 years leading a team of 8 teachers. He has also mentored newly qualified teachers, led whole school training sessions and recruited Maths teachers.

The thing that stands out most about Abercorn to Fahid is the distinctive emphasis on holistic education. He enjoys contributing to the growth and progress of Abercorn’s students and strives to instill in them a love of learning Maths along the way! The most important role for Fahid has always been in the classroom, contributing to students progressing in their understanding and application of Maths. For him, it is still as rewarding as when he first experienced it in his first year of teaching.

Qualifications: BEng (Hons) Computer Systems Engineering, Brunel University, PGCE Mathematics + QTS
