Gareth Leggett

Head of Science

After studying Biological Sciences at University and a short period of time spent in industry, Gareth went on to complete a PGCE specialising in secondary school science.

Gareth enjoys teaching all aspects of the curriculum across Biology, Chemistry and Physics and has vast teaching experience. Gareth spent a year and a half teaching in comprehensive schools in Norfolk before he moved to RGS Preparatory in Guildford. He then made the move to a large boarding school as Head of Science, later joining Abercorn in 2023.

Gareth is currently studying for a chartered qualification in teaching and learning, helping to further his understanding of advanced pedagogy. 

Outside of the classroom, Gareth enjoys playing tennis, skiing and spending time in the countryside with his family.
