Shaun Mahon
Teacher
Shaun is a Reception class teacher at Abercorn Lower School.
Shaun moved to London in 2003 from his family town of Stoke-on-Trent. Before moving to the capital, Shaun was a Nursery Manager at a small day nursery and before that a Manager of a Mexican restaurant. A member of the Abercorn family since Autumn 2003, Shaun loves working as a team and seeing those ‘light bulb’ moments in children! Shaun studied at UCL Institute of Education where he gained his BA in Early Childhood Studies. Shaun says his favourite thing about teaching is that every day is different, and his teaching philosophy is to make it fun, interesting and hands on!
Qualifications: BA(Hons) in Education (Early Childhood Studies), QTS, NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing, Extended Services & Play professional development prog.
