Mr Davies joined Abercorn in 2008.

Having schooled at The Skinners’ School, Tunbridge Wells, and the Kent Theatre Academy, Mr Davies studied at Dartington College of Arts and Goldsmiths before becoming a London based musician and composer producing work for theatre, film, television and independent releases. Mr Davies’ teaching career began in 2001, and he quickly came to enjoy delivering inspirational music teaching and workshops in numerous London schools and for several London Educational Authorities. He also enjoyed writing music plays for young voices. His teaching practice always utilises a growth mindset of “can do” and has been described as outstanding by both ISI and OFSTED, who highlighted 'the quality of progression and continuity together with the enthusiasm of all children, regardless of their ability.”

Mr Davies feels that the most rewarding part of his role is the reward of enthusiasm and energy reciprocated by pupils both as young performers and through their acquisition and demonstration of new skills and understanding.

In his spare time, Mr Davies enjoys music composition, cycling, walking, yoga, kite surfing, paddle boarding and sea swimming.

Qualifications: CNAA Dip. in Music (Dartington College of Arts) MMus in Creative Practice (Goldsmiths)
