As a French specialist at Abercorn Nouara encourages pupils to express themselves in French, encouraging learning through experience.

Nouara grew up in France where she studied English language, culture and history at university as well as Latin and Arabic. While studying she decided to travel to England during the summer to improve her English, and spent three summers in England before working as a French assistant for a prep-school in Oxford. Having planned to teach English in France, Nouara realised she enjoyed the English Curriculum much more and studied a Masters in French as a Foreign Language, before completing her PGCE at Oxford Brookes University.

Nouara has always wanted to be a teacher and can remember playing teacher with her brother using her bedroom door as a chalkboard.

Having joined Abercorn as a teacher in Autumn 2010, Nouara believes that pupils can learn anything as long as they are inspired and encouraged through challenging topics. She believes that knowing your teacher is there to help you and to support you and understand your perspective matters most and can make all the difference. For Nouara, seeing the spark in a pupil’s eyes because he or she understood what they are learning makes it worth all the effort.

Qualifications: PGCE (Secondary - Modern Foreign Languages), QTS, Emergency First Aid at Work (incl. Paediatric Element)
