Jess is a class teacher for Reception in Lower School at Abercorn.

Jess originally joined Abercorn in Autumn 2018 as a Reception teacher, before moving to Year 1 a few years later. From London, Jess attended the University of Winchester where she gained her degree with an Early Years specialism. Jess loves to create an interactive, exciting and stimulating environment for the children to explore, as she believes this helps to develop a curious, imaginative and risk taking mind. The most rewarding part of being a teacher for Jess is watching the children flourish and enjoy their learning journey.

Jess believes in following the child's interests to help support and develop their love for learning and instilling a growth mindset. What does Jess like most about teaching? Being able to watch the progress of the children as they navigate their way through a variety of topics.

Qualifications: BEd in Primary Education, QTS, Paediatric First Aid
